Skelton, York
Skelton is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of the City of York, in North Yorkshire England. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of the city of York, west of Haxby, and on the east bank of the River Ouse. Skelton was in the Ancient Forest of Galtres. Historic buildings in Skelton include St. Giles Church (built 1227), Skelton Manor from the 16th century, and Skelton Hall from 1824. Largest of all, but before building 'listing' times was Skelton Grange which was built by the wealthy and much-travelled Place family originally in 18th cenntury and rebuilt after fire c. 1850. 'The Grange' was finally sold in 1981 as a victim of the then oil-crisis which created lack of funds for upkeep. It was demolished by a local property developer for a large housing development on the site and in the substantial grounds. The Place's name is heavily present in and around the church. Skelton was made a conservation area in 1973.

KitKat Crescent
Bootham Crescent is an association football stadium in York, North Yorkshire. It has been the home of York City since 1932, when it was purchased from York Cricket Club as a replacement for Fulfordgate, which was relatively inaccessible for supporters to reach. Other than football, it has hosted a pop concert, a firework display and American Football and rugby league matches.
